12:15 PM - 12:34 PM Korn Ferry Presentation

General Counsels have been faced with arguably unparalleled challenges over last 10 months. From shutdowns, to remote working, to BLM, mental health and ESG, many GCs have alternately struggled in certain situations and succeeded in others.  The skillset required to be successful has altered and shifted materially. Using the Korn Ferry and WGCC data of the most highly sought after GCs, we will engage in a discussion about how the benchmark has evolved and our perspective on where it may be going.  The data points to a framework of agility, tenacity and challenge being key parameters of success for GCs.  We will explore this in some detail and delve into the effects of the trials of 2020, and end with some thoughts on skill sets that GCs would be well served to develop further to continue to be able to weather the storm effectively.

As organizations adapt and transform themselves to succeed in the world we live in today, their leadership must also transform. Organizations recognize the cycle has changed: innovation breeds success and continued success requires innovation.  The key? Innovation can only be acquired through agility.  Join us to hear strategies from a world renowned speaker and author followed by a guided discussion panel of experienced leaders who will share their journey on how they became agile leaders in their organization, learn from their success (and sometimes failure) so that you can inspire your team by Leading with Agility.

We will hear strategies from a world, renowned speaker and author of 19 books and countless research papers on this topic, Dr. Michael Ungar.  Following his presentation, we will breakout into rooms for a more focused small group discussion, where leaders can share experiences of success (and failure) on their path to becoming an agile leader in their organization and also share tools we can use to inspire our teams by Leading with Agility.
