Nathalie Clark & Shanin Lott
Nathalie Clark serves as Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary for Aurora Cannabis Inc. In this role, Nathalie has leadership accountability for the Legal, Regulatory Affairs, Quality Assurance, Government Relations and Compliance, Risk & Assurance departments. Nat works closely with many of the leads in the different business departments in an advisory role as well as with the Board of Directors and sub-committees.
Nat has over 25 years of experience, during which she has held progressive executive leadership roles in Law, Compliance, Risk Management, Operations and Human Resources across retail and financial services. Nat was most recently the SVP, GC & Corporate Secretary at Computershare Canada where she led the legal function and served as the principal legal advisor to all Canadian lines of business, Operations and Shared Services functions, the Canadian Executive Team and the Computershare Trust Company of Canada’s Board of Directors. Prior to that Nat previously held senior roles at TD Securities, Capital One Bank and Canadian Bankers Association. Nat is a member of both the Quebec Bar and the Law Society of Ontario, has served on many boards, more recently as Chair of Women in Capital Markets and is currently serving as a member of the Board of Directors of Bevo Agtech Inc.
Shanin Lott partners with professional services clients, with a focus on law firms, to identify and develop forward-looking leaders. Based in Toronto and New York, she advises C - suites on executive searches, leadership assessment, team effectiveness, and culture analysis.
Shanin brings extensive experience advising high-performance, client-centric professional services firms in deeply competitive landscapes. Previously, she was the chief people officer for the Canadian region of Norton Rose Fulbright, and was instrumental in supporting the firm’s global people and culture strategy. In that role, she developed and executed the people strategy across functions, including talent attraction and development, performance, DE&I, culture and engagement, and HR operations. Shanin has also worked on extensive corporate culture audits. Before that, she led talent management and marketing and communications teams at Stikeman Elliott, a top-tier Canadian law firm. She has also practiced law in NYC and Canada Shanin holds a BA (hons) in English literature from the University of Windsor, and an LLB from the University of Ottawa. She is called to the bars of Ontario and New York.
