Taking Your Leadership to the Next Level by Channeling Your Inner Hercules and Your Inner Buddha

Yesterday’s tools of leadership need to be reshaped to fit today’s complex, dynamic, multi-stakeholder environment. Those tools assumed clear roles and authority, and the ability to predict impact with clarity once you understood the situation. Today’s leadership requires both setting direction in ambiguity creating new opportunities in shifting situations, often without authority over the many stakeholders involved.

In this session we’ll explore a way to think about your own leadership that leads to success in this environment – leading differently, not just leading “more” or “harder.” The perspective is based on more than two decades of working with senior leaders around the world in a wide variety of industries, cultures, and economic situations. We’ll help you identify how you’re already implementing these new perspectives, and how you can hone the tools even more.

Martha Maznevski, Ph.D, Professor of Organizational Behaviour and Faculty Director for Executive Education at Ivey Business School - University of Western Ontario
