This year, WGCC Women General Counsel Canada is offering not one, but three scholarship opportunities to students enrolled in a Canadian JD or LLB programme. Details of each opportunity is set out below. We would be grateful if you could disseminate information about these opportunities, as appropriate, to your student body.

1. General Scholarship – This year WGCC is offering not one but two annual $2000 scholarships for 2nd year students enrolled in a Canadian JD or LLB programme. Click here for full submission guidelines and to apply.

2. Indigenous Scholarship – Again this year, WGCC is offering an annual $2000 scholarship for Indigenous 2nd year students (or, if enrolled in a 4-year combined law degree program, 2nd or 3rd year students) enrolled in a Canadian JD or LLB programme. 3. GCU Faculty Scholarship - Earlier this year WGCC created GCU (General Counsel University) as a leadership learning program to enhance the executive performance of women general counsel and legal executives. In recognition of the contribution of the GCU Faculty, WGCC set up this scholarship of $1,000 for 1st year students enrolled in a Canadian JD or LLB programme who demonstrates leadership skills and behaviours, as described in the scholarship outline.
